The Mines Tavern is a little Manx gem nestled in the picturesque setting of the Laxey Tram Station. There is an overwhelming feel of belonging when you enter this pub, like you want to snuggle in for the day and become part of the furniture. The food is good solid traditional pub fayre and caters for all tastes and requirements. From the quirky tram shaped bar, to the endearing touches of the traditional Manx dotted about, it really is a feast for the eyes... and the stomachs!

It's a pub! It's difficult to find much more to say about it. We went in because we had just come down from Snaefell and it was time for a late afternoon "snifter" before happy hour celebrations!
The staff were plenty friendly enough. The beer was your standard fayre (which pleased one of our visitors because it was the first time he'd been to the Island, and he had got a sudden crush on H&B beers!)
The furniture and decoration were the wrong side of "past their best" but all-in-all it was a solid enough experience.
