I don't agree with the earlier reviewers. We had a very pleasant meal at the Niarbyl Cafe. The staff were friendly (though I admit, sometimes a bit slow on the uptake) and when the food came it was hot and fresh... as good as you'd get in any similar establishment.
Prices were a bit on the high side for what it was, but I'd be quite happy to go again, just for the view.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We went here a couple of years ago and had the most disasterous meal I have ever had in my life. I swore I wouldn't go again.
This summer, however, I heard it was under new management, so I relented and we called in with some friends for an afternoon 'cuppa". Four people for 'tea and scones' - two wrong orders! Indifferent staff and a bill the size of the national debt.
Bugger it - never again - and I mean it his time.

Disappointing. The queenies were like bullets, the white wine was warm, the coffee was cold and the waitresses were not very knowledgeable.
On the other hand, the view was magnificent - but you can see that without paying for the privilege.

Difficult to understand how this place keeps going. First of all it's right at the end of a long cul de sac so only people going specifically to see the (stunning) view ever get to visit the 'restaurant'. But this cafe abuses the privilege of calling itself a restaurant. The staff are moody, the food is only just 'adequate' and the bill is way beyond my comprehension (and my pocket). Stay away and save your money
