About The Feathers

The Feathers is located in the small Norfolk village of Dersingham, only one mile from the Royal Sandringham Estate. The building is of local carrstone and is steeped in royal history. Formerly a coaching inn, The Cock was damaged by fire in the 1800's and was rebuilt and named The Lamb. Royal connections date back to 1882 when the hotel was purchased as part of the Sandringham estate for Albert Edward, Prince of Wales. It was subsequently renamed `The Feathers` in his honour.

The accommodation comprises a range of en-suite bedrooms and facilities for weddings, functions and events. You can dine in the two main bars, or if you prefer, eat alfresco on the patio. Outside there are two large landscaped gardens.
The first garden offers ample seating and includes a fun play area for children.
The second garden, named the Pond Garden, offers a quiet relaxed environment for adults, which also makes an ideal location for private functions.

We are accredited with the Cask Marque award for excellence in serving cask beer.

We booked a table in the restaurant half an hour before going. The staff on the bar were extremely friendly and bent over backwards to be helpful. We both ordered the rib eye steak and it was cooked to prefection, tasty and succulent (and I like mine blue!). The desserts, too, were excellent. And all served by a young lady with a lovely smile and beautiful auburn hair. I would thoroughly recommend going to eat or drink at The Feathers
