Review of Royal India Restaurant - Peel - Isle of Man written 29 Oct 2012

The unassuming shop frontage hides a clean, welcoming interior where the satff, it seems, simply can't do enough to please. The food is all freshly cooked to order and ranks amongst the best Indian food I've ever eaten. If you have the good sense to visit here, you will not be disappointed either by your welcome or the food.

I travel quite a lot and I have to say this hotel was a real surprise, the quality of the room and the food, the friendly staff and overall feel the hotel has - very comfortable and friendly. The decor is smart, service is prompt and food easily matched the standard of the hotel. Attentive staff who didn't impose and were polite and professional. The bar food is excellent and the breakfasts are actually worth getting up for. The Stornoway black pudding is gorgeous. The bar was well stocked and when it was busy the staff got help and kept waiting times to a minimum. Very Highly Recommended on every score. No reservations at all about The Lynnhurst.

Review of The Wheelhouse - Falkirk - Stirling and Falkirk written 12 Jun 2012

Everything about this restaurant is excellent for breakfast, lunch or dinner. First, there is ample parking, which is always a plus in my book, because I travel a lot and time is of the essence. Very nice inside with big comfy chairs, and a good choice on the menu.

The staff here are helpful and very attentive and once you have been a couple of times they even start to remember your likes and dislikes. The food is well prepared and presented and the price is very reasonable.

This last time I called in, I had the 'posh' breakfast which was poached egg, parma ham and Stornaway black pudding with hollondaise sauce and rocket salad. It didn't change my waistline, but it tasted darn good!
