I don't agree with the earlier reviewers. We had a very pleasant meal at the Niarbyl Cafe. The staff were friendly (though I admit, sometimes a bit slow on the uptake) and when the food came it was hot and fresh... as good as you'd get in any similar establishment.

Prices were a bit on the high side for what it was, but I'd be quite happy to go again, just for the view.

Review of Duke of Cambridge - Battersea - London S written 19 Sep 2012

When we went, most of the tables in the bar area were reserved but we were soon found a table. We had steak and chips and belly of pork with black pudding and dauphinoise potatoes. The food arrived in good time, piping hot and was cooked to perfection. (And everything is organic).

Outside the pub was busy with lots of people, many of whom had come inside to look for a table. Probably something local - but it didn't disturb us. It's a bustling, classy pub with a nice atmosphere. Recommended.

Review of The Royal Oak - Yattendon - Berkshire written 2 Jul 2012

This cosy pub restaurant was exquisite and the service second to none. The food was exceptional and the staff were knowledgeable and really friendly. Terrific wine list too. We had our coffees after the meal in the garden at the rear and is so pretty and relaxing I could have stayed there all day!

The bar was great with quality real ales form the West Berkshire Brewery just up the road. There was a real nice atmosphere to the whole place. Rob the owner, was 100% receptive and welcoming. Top marks to a top man and I'm so glad to have found this place.

Review of The Holly Bush Inn - Stafford - Staffordshire written 3 Dec 2011

The Holly Bush Inn has a lovely friendly atmosphere, the staff are attentive and polite and the pub (and gardens) are well kept. The food is excellent quality and very reasonably priced, especially at lunch times. The dishes are all homemade using local produce and there is a good selection to suit all tastes. The 'specials' board changes daily, so there is always something different to try. Huge selection of real ales for the connoisseurs or, if not, the house wine is very acceptable.
