Review of The Embankment - Bedford - Bedfordshire written 30 Sep 2012

Very friendly, efficient staff and good food. I like the low lighting, buzzy yet cosy atmosphere. Nicely busy mid week and works well for a a quiet dinner or a large group. We're starting to go there regularly now, even though it's a bit of a trip from where we live. They serve food on a Sunday night which many others don't. Beautiful location. Can't fault it.

We were greeted warmly and had up to three waiters looking after us at any one time - all of them really caring about our choice of meals. They couldn't have done more, to ensure that our visit, was first class. The food was prepared with heart and it showed. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Signatures merits a Michelin star.

The haddock and prawn risotto was to die for and the pork loin steak on a bed of cabbage and bacon was bliss. And I loved the little 'continental' touches like sorbet between courses to freshen the mouth, and fudge with the coffee at the end. 100% to the Signatures team.

Review of The Three Bishops - Brighstone - Isle of Wight written 17 Jun 2012

Very good quality food at a very reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and had a good selection of beers. It's clean, spacious and comfy and, when the weather is nice, there's a great garden area.

The menu has a good variety of traditional British pub grub dishes, and there's also a sizeable selection from a specials board. Prices are very reasonable, so return visits are easily done.

All in all, a decent pub doing what decent pubs do ... serving good beers and good food.
