Typical Greene King pub situated on the High Street in the busy town centre of Kings Lynn. There is parking close by and the pub is on one of the two weekly market places meaning that footfall from shoppers and tourists is high

50% of the beers are Greene King brands, and 50% sourced from local microbreweries. The foods okay and I guess, for a town centre pub, that's about good enough for them since most of their trade is likely to be casual, not regulars. S'okay for a couple of beers.

A real heavy drinker's pub this. Lots of local fishermen types standing ankle deep in sawdust and dog ends with their "totty" hanging off their arms swilling bacardi breezers out of the bottles!

Not for me, I'm afraid. I spent an evening there because it was the birthday of a mate of a mate, but I don't think I'll be rushing back for more. Apparently, it used to be the in place - not any more.

It's many years since I went to The Nelson (or "The Lord Nelson" as it was at the time). I seem to recall falling over after a few "Bulls Blood" (their local brew of Woods' rum and something secret that came out the back end of a penguin). There's nothing "wrong" with today's "Nelson" but there's also little character to remind you of the typical local pub restaurant. Sure, the beer's okay. Sure, the food's okay. And the staff are friendly enough. But I can find that in 1,000 other British pubs!

Excellent restaurant food served by helpful staff who have a proficient but easy going attitude. The menu is basic and down to earth but clearly uses high quality ingredients. They do a fantastic steak night every Wednesday but they also have great daily specials. Worth trying the sausage of the day with some great local specialities.

It's worth visiting The Embankment on the south side of Bedford along the river with lovely walks. Good honest gastro pub with no hidden charges or extras.

During TT week we visited lots of pubs and pub restaurants in the island and without a doubt the one that impressed us the most was The Station at Port Erin. Great beers, friendly people, excellent food and reasonable prices. We'll be back again next year, that's for sure.

A fortnight of bike racing while sleeping in a wet tent is a bit of a mixed blessing! Thank god for The Creek at Peel, along with another couple of pubs on the island, it kept us happy and sane. Excellent food and an amazing choice of real ale. That's what makes happy campers!

This was one of our "Top Three" pub restaurants while we were over for TT. Excellent food, really happy and friendly staff, good beer and a superb spot for watching bikes travel at silly speeds! We'll be back in 2013!

If your grandparents were born in Foxdale and lived there all their lives, and your parents were born in Foxdale and lived there all their lives, and you were born in Foxdale and lived there all your life, you might (just) qualify to drink at The Baltic. Otherwise, be careful because these people take inbreeding to a new level. One pint was enough for me!

Real ale (gravity fed), oak beams, inglenook fireplace, good home cooking... what more could you ask for in an English pub in the middle of the countryside? Well done Victor and Susan for putting traditional free houses back on the map

The Fox and Hounds is a longstanding public house that has adapted to modern times without losing the appeal of the traditional British pub. Lots of polished brass and quirky bits & pieces to amuse visitors.

There was quite an extensive range of beers. Everybody was very welcoming and the food service was efficient and friendly. I went for the pheasant in shallot sauce from the specials board. No complaints! This was excellent pub fare at a very resonable price!
